DEE SNIDER's 'Strangeland: Seven Sins' Arrives

August 18, 2007

It's a bloodier and even more brutal prequel to the cult classic film from Dee Snider of TWISTED SISTER fame, only this time it's in comic book form! Strangeland: Seven Sins arrives on August 29 from Fangoria Comics. It's a "Horror Vengeance" title that tells the terrifying tale of how Carleton Hendricks becomes the merciless Captain Howdy, and the sadistic path of revenge he takes against the seven individuals responsible.

Taking on the writing chores for this four-issue mini-series is Dee's son, Jesse Blaze Snider. In addition to fronting the up-and-coming band BAPTIZED BY FIRE, Jesse will have work featured in the forthcoming Marvel Comics Presents series.

Joining Jesse on art will be Irish artist Stephen Mooney, best known for his contributions to the CSI comic books and various titles from IDW's Angel series. Rounding out the art team is Jason Jensen, an industry vet who has colored everything from Chaos! to Archie.

Strangeland: Seven Sins is a four-issue monthly mini-series from Fangoria Comics. Each issue clocks in at 32 pages for $3.99. All issues sport covers by Mooney and Jensen.

Fangoria Entertainment produces the popular weekly three-hour live radio show Fangoria Radio airing Friday nights on Sirius Satellite Radio, hosted by renowned heavy metal frontman for TWISTED SISTER and horror film producer-actor Dee Snider with celebrated Scream Queen and radio veteran Debbie Rochon serving as Snider's sidekick.
